Petunia 'Pet' Numdahl and Kyle Clawford are laser ball players, a sport played at zero gravity and on an enclosed court.  They find themselves caught up in a diabolical scheme by George Tsau to steal some prototype crystals, discovered by Jack Blodder, that in addition to their many positive attributes, have the potential to be used to blackmail the governments of the Solar System.

Scoelains

What would you do if you met two beautiful, human-appearing alien females who asked you to help them prevent a more militant faction of their species from taking over Earth?  That is the question posed to Jimmy Jorgenson, a minor league catcher, and LeRoy Bailey, the team's pitching coach, by Gwen Starre and Cheryl Moon, whose colony space ship is about to enter the Solar System.
